Principle
Of Physics In Environment (ESC 3006) was my very first lecture in my university
life, degree life. It was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shaharin Ibrahim, a
truly great academician and researcher. Probably, that’s the reasons why I’m touched
regarding to his leaving. I don’t used to cry, but my tears dropped,
uncontrollably.
"I was on my way to mosque, planned to see you for the very last time, although you could never show me your charming and humble smile anymore. Unfortunately, I was being told that you have left to your hometown. I can only think positively whereby I’m truly relieved that I get to meet you for the very last time at hospital last week. Honestly, I was so grieved and worried. You were so ill. When getting more students were here, you tended to react normally, started to ask students how was the exam and teach students thereafter, although you were having the hard time."

"Teach From The Heart, Not From The Book."
During
his lectures, he always try his best to teach students and make sure everyone
understands. One day, he wondered and he asked, actually what’s the problem
students that don’t understand and didn’t score well during tests. Before
pointing finger to the students, he blames himself for not conducting the lectures
well. We know that his lectures have no problems since not all the students are
unable to score. Furthermore, he always teach wholeheartedly in the lectures,
even almost fall down while conducting the lectures. His words, together with
the upset face, were so memorable for me because I was truly moved. He is so
willing to share his knowledges and he even extended his teaching service after
retirement age.
"Doubtless,
you are a great academician."
"One Is Never Too Old To Learn."
Clearly,
that’s during my third year in faculty, he extended his teaching service once
again. One day, I was on my way to meet my academic advisor. Accidentally, I
saw a huge assemblage in progress and I was wondering whose work is
that. I just realised it was Dr.’s work after he sat down. I greeted him and
started a short conversation. Well, I get to know he loves physical modeling.
Interestingly, he still used to do modelling although he is aged. Regarding to
the continuous extension of teaching service, thereafter I found that it was because
currently there are lack of reasearches and researchs in his current field so he
intended to continue. Among the lecturers, he used to be the one who always stay back until late night. Whenever I back
late, I used to see whether his room still lighting up or not, followed by spotting his that sporty Hilux. Unintentionally and naturally, he becomes one of my model in
achieving my study.
"Doubtless,
you are a respectful researcher."
"Now, I’m a final year degree student and I’m leaving soon. You are here earlier than me, but you don’t have to leave earlier than me actually. It is so hard to accept the fact that you are no longer here, but I’m so relieve that you are leaving peacefully and holy. May you rest in peace, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shaharin Ibrahim."
"Rest In Peace."
